"They create a contemplative Pop, one that doesn't have to be scrutinized but probably should be."
Lead singer/songwriter for music project Black Kite, Lynn splits efforts on synthesizers w Smith; creating dark yet angelic vocal samples with her various melodic gadgets. Along with BK's Ep Soft Animus Heart, Lynn is also in the writing process for her next set of songs as well as the first full-length from Jerk. Currently, Lynn has incurred 30,000 demerits and is roughly 70,000 away from her first verbal warning. These details are documented on a 24-hr live excel sheet that she is the sole operator of.
Multi-instrumentalist and compositional mastermind Austin Smith formed the group late-2015. The lifelong musician, Smith began playing piano at the age of 4, expanding his musical arsenal to drums, guitar and bass by age 11. Soon after songwriting became and remained his main passion and focus. Jerk is the first collaborative project he's manned with a full-length LP to be recorded in December. Aside from music Austin loves creams and dairy in general, a good milkshake now and then.
The rhythmic backbone of the trio, percussionist Zach Alderman shares his talents with many bands. His band, Deep Cuts, are among the upward rising ensembles out of Texas; an incredibly talented assembly of musicians, offering a deliberate and infectious blend of genres. Deep Cuts is also mid-thrust of their next effort while also touring in support of their most recent release Take Me Back. It is also important to note that Zach is not a fan of creams or dairy in general.
